Founded by Zahra Akthar an Art Psychotherapist (HCPC, BAAT) ‘My Creative Voice’ offers therapy and wellbeing services in England, UK.
With over 6+ years of experience, Zahra has worked primarily with Children and Young People (CYP) affected by trauma, abuse, loss, separation, and mental health issues. Her experiences also include working with diverse and displaced client groups such as refugees, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC), migrants, and victims of trafficking, torture, war, and political violence.
Zahra is also a Lecturer on the MA Art Therapy program at the University of Chester, England (UK). She has published research in the International Journal of Art Therapy and was featured in their Special Edition on Art Therapy with Children. Her ongoing research interests include Art Therapy with diverse populations, cultural competency, and spirituality.
